Welcome to the Mslexia Salon: the members-only area of our website, where you can attend a workshop with top authors, get feedback from agents and editors, share your work, join a group, meet likeminded writers, browse writing opportunities, and access a wealth of ‘how to’ writerly resources, prompts and workshop material – all for just £18 a year. Salon membership is available only to subscribers of Mslexia magazine.

If you're looking for some writerly camaraderie, join us for our February Lunchtime Write-ins. Whether you’re able to join us for the full hour or you just want to do a few minutes of free writing, pop in and say hello. Visit the event page in the Salon to join in.
February Late-Night Write | 10 February, 8-9pm via Zoom
Like our Lunchtime Write-ins, our Late-Night Writes offers a quiet, communal writing space where you can work on whatever writing projects you have on the go. Throw on your pyjamas, grab a cuppa and settle in for an hour of writing. Visit the Salon to join in.
Indie Extravaganza | 23 & 24 February
Get ready for our 2026 Indie Extravaganza! All you need to take part is a 100-word pitch for prose writers or a 50-word pitch, plus up to 30 lines of poetry for poets. The event pages will be open for your pitches on 23 February, 8am-8pm! We've got a fantastic line up of editors from UK indie presses, including Bad Betty, Blue Moose Books, the Emma Press, Galley Beggar Press, Dahlia Books, Hashtag Press, Linen Press, Luna Press Publishing, Prototype, Scratch Books, Seren Books, and Wild Hunt Books. They'll be reading your pitches, offering written feedback and snapping up writers who catch their eye. More information about this event is available on the Salon’s Event page.
