Our 2025 Adult Novel Competition is now open!
Our judges this year award-winning novelist Bernardine Evaristo, literary agent at Madeleine Milburn Literary Agency Olivia Maidment, and writer, editor and arts critic Lucy Popescu.
Send us the first 5,000 words of your manuscript for adults or young adults, which must be more than 50,000 words. The winner will receive £5,000 plus manuscript feedback from The Literary Consultancy, and pitch training and personal introductions to editors and agents in partnership with New Writing North. Three finalists will also receive manuscript feedback from The Literary Consultancy, and pitch training and personal introductions to editors and agents.
