Maxine Davies

Maxine joined the Mslexia team in 2018. She was born and bred in Newcastle, and graduated with a degree in History and an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature, both from Newcastle University. Her writing has been shortlisted in the Spread the Word Life Writing Prize, the Creative Future Awards and she came third in the Reflex Fiction competition. In 2021 she was named as one of the Printing Charity’s Rising Stars.
