We are excited to launch the Mslexia Memoir & Life-Writing Competition for unpublished women writers.
As well as the top prize of £5,000, the winner and three finalists will receive manuscript feedback, and introductions to agents and editors at a special event held in London. The winner and finalists will be announced in the June 2021 edition of Mslexia magazine.
The competition is open to women of any nationality from any country, and welcomes the first 5,000 words of completed, unpublished memoirs, of at least 50,000 words in length. The memoir should narrate events in the writer’s life and/or a quest or investigation she undertakes.
Each £25 entry fee allows you to submit one memoir extract (first 5,000 words). If you would like to enter more than one memoir, please select the correct number of entries below.
