Mslexia Max Monday

23 January 2017, 6-9pm

On Monday 23 January we are throwing open the doors of new Mslexia Max members’ area so please drop in on the website to meet the team and special guests.

At the first of what will be a regular get together, we will be joined by a host of publishing gurus, including Virago Editor Lennie Goodings, Seren Poetry Editor Amy Wack, and literary agents Jenny Brown, Claire Wilson, Jo Unwin and Sarah Such, all of whom will be hosting Q&A sessions – a perfect opportunity for you to ask about getting published and find out what agents are looking for.

Leading novelists and poets – including Val McDermid and Wendy Cope – will also be popping in and out throughout the evening, to answer questions about their craft. And to get your creative ideas flowing we’ll be holding a series of quick-fire writing competitions, with some toothsome prizes, including a whole manuscript critique worth £430 from Daniel Goldsmiths Associates and a three-chapter critique from Fresh Eyes, worth £150.

Don’t worry if you can’t make it between 6pm and 9pm. For 24 hours (9am Monday to 9am Tuesday) we’re opening the virtual doors to our new members area to let you connect with other writers in a range of forums, and explore a growing treasure trove of exclusive content, special offers and writing resources.

You don’t need to be a Mslexia subscriber to join the party, but you will need to set up an account on our website (if you don’t already have one) so that our system knows to admit you. Just click here to sign up – the only info we need is your email address. You can sign up at any time, but ideally this would be before 23 Jan, so you’re all set to join in with the festivities on the actual night.

We’re all looking forward to meeting you on the 23 Jan!
