Max’s 1st Birthday Party

Team M are incredibly excited to announce our blockbuster virtual party on 2 October, where dozens of big names will gather online to celebrate Mslexia Max’s first birthday!

We’ll be joined by major authors like Jill Mansell, Tania Hershman and Kiran Millwood Hargrave, as well as nearly a dozen literary agents and top editors on hand to give you advice and support in your writing journey, and Debbie Taylor will be running one of her coveted pitch surgeries. There will also be splashy prizes up for grabs, writing games to play and flash competitions aplenty – plus the usual buzzing community atmosphere Max is known and loved for.

So pencil the date into your diaries – proceedings will be kicking off at 10am, and will unfold throughout the day until roughly 7pm (although heaps of guests hang around on the forums until almost midnight).

Mslexia at Birmingham Literature Festival

The last stop on Mslexia’s 2017 festival tour is Birmingham Literature Festival, where once again Editor Debbie Taylor will be leading her popular synopsis workshop as well as chairing our Meet the Editors panel discussion.

Debbie Taylor’s foolproof method aims to take the pain out of writing the most difficult page of text a novelist ever has to compose.
