Mslexia, the award-winning magazine for women writers, is looking for a Production Editor to join its team of nine in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The Production Editor role involves commissioning, copywriting and copy editing; technical production of all Mslexia’s print and digital publications; project management of new editions of the Indie Press Guide and e-books; updating editorial copy for the Mslexia website.
Mslexia is a publishing company dedicated to supporting women writers and improving the quality and status of women’s literature. Since 1999 it has built a reputation for excellent fiction, poetry, memoir, journalism and design, and is one of the UK’s leading literary magazines. Mslexia began as a quarterly print magazine, publishing a cutting-edge selection of new poetry and prose alongside information about writing and publishing. Its activities have since diversified to include a portfolio of high-profile competitions, additional print and ebook publications, the Mslexia Max online member’s forum, the Mslexicon women writers’ festival, and many other literary events. Mslexia became a registered charity in 2019.
